How about this then…following the tremendous year of 2005 where the Strathdon Hotel was a Hotel of the Year Finalist and was prestigiously awarded the title of HIGHLY COMMENDED by Blackpool Tourism, we have now been assessed for the fifth year running by (the god who grants all great guest house the shining stars) Quality in Tourism through VisitBritian and given not one, not two, not three (as in previous years) but FOUR STARS for guest accommodation. The comments on the quality report were amazing for instance:

Cleanliness - High standard very much in evidence

Warmth of Welcome on Arrival - A warm welcome on arrival, guests feeling very much at home, with nothing being too much trouble.

Quality of Booking - Gave guests a very good first impression if they are new to Blackpool.

Beds and Bedding - Very good, well presented bedding.

Heating - To a comfortable ambient temperature.

Food Quality - Good home cooking with fresh produce in place.

And to top it all the Executive Summary says:

THE OWNERS ARE TO BE CONGRATULATED ON THE STANDARD OF CLEANLINESS AND HOSPITALITY
